This story is from December 23, PANAJI: The Goa police have written to the state government advising against issuing permission to the electronic dance and music festival , ' Sunburn ', as it is a "high risk hazard to participants" and its location along the Candolim sea front makes it "highly vulnerable" to terrorist attacks.

The police have further stated that if despite their apprehensions the licensing authority decides to issue a no objection certificate to the festival, the NOC should be granted subject to stringent conditions, including limited entries. Mapari has further stated that if the licensing authority decides to issue the festival a no-objection certificate despite police apprehensions, the NOC should be granted subject to stringent conditions, and entry at the venue shouldn't exceed 2, at any given time.

The police also want a minimum of private security personnel deployed at the festival's security, a minimum of CCTV cameras at all entry and exit points and at the festival venue, no baggage at the venue, and 16 watch towers for surveillance. Likewise, entry tickets must have adequate security features so as to prevent bogus printing of tickets and unauthorized entries to the venue," the report states.
