Why do people like kuroshitsuji
Even though the main aim of the two animes are different, revenge vs elimination of vampires , they are almost cut from the same cloth! However, Hellsing tends to be darker and more bloody. Read recommendations by 12 more users. Ciel's character is similar to Integra's one. They are both very strict, demanding and they will do everything to achieve the goal. What is more, they are perfect examples of "being master" attitude.
Alucard and Sebastian are similar because of their fighting abilities, hidden not every time dark side and good look ; Both anime ale pretty dark with a lot of blood and supernatural things included. On the other hands their masters are so serious and never smile So if you like master-servent relationship and england atmosphere you will love both animes.
In both there are demons, which serve humans. Sebastian looks like Alucard, especially when he is in his "fighting mode" and Ciel looks like Integra in her childhood. Phantomhive family serves the Queen and executes her orders, and Ciel is the young successor of this family. So it looks pretty similar to Hellsing, and even if they have different atmosphere, if you enjoy one you will like the other too.
Kuroshitsuji is like a less serious, less violent version of Hellsing. They just both have the same sort of feel. They both enjoy a dark element Hellsing having violent characters and Kuroshitsuji having twisted characters.
Side characters provide much of the comic relief in both with Kuroshisuji enjoying much more comedy than Hellsing. The biggest similarity is Alucard and Sebastian. They seem cut from nearly the same mold in terms of character.
If you liked one you will for sure like the other. They both chain themselves to humans who clearly need them. They are both very manipulative even manipulating their masters. Liked Sebastian? Loved Sebastian? Hated Sebastian? Your answer does not matter, you are gonna like to watch some Alucard action in Hellsing.
He is the only person who can defeat a demon in a duel;. PS:I don't recommend Hellsing Ultimate because althought it is more loyal to the original manga and has some marvellous animations, it includes too much second world war events and political issues, so it will be really confusing if you're new to Hellsing story.
Go with the TV version for the time being. Both animes have strong anti-heroes as main characters, who have a human master. Stacking genres: Action, Supernatural.
Kuroshitsuji and Hellsing have a some what similar storyline but totally different adjectives in the end. But they both have dark humor. I dont know if youll like them both but i absolutely loved them :D. They both have a master-servant relationship. They also both involve the use of fantasy characters as the servant and a human as the master. They both take place in England and the master and servant protect England.
In both the master got the servant while in a desperate time of need. Finally, the servant is a really strong, or in other words, a boss-ass bitch. A human master, with the assistance of his almighty demonic servant, solve a series of cases with great elegance and effectiveness.
Death Note add permalink. Mysteries, dark settings, detectives.. If you liked Death Note you might like Kuroshitsuji, though it's not that serious and a more funny setting. There are Shounen-Ai hinted themes in Kuroshitsuji, so for the LxLight shippers, you can get your moments in Kuroshitsuji too.
Well, they both involve demons and in Death Note Light-kun tries to rid the world of evil, and become the ruler. In Kuroshitsuji, Sebastian is a demon butler who signs a contract to help Ciel get revenge on those who caused him pain and humiliation. These two two stories are not that similar, but have a great theme to it. Both dark, mysterious, and romantic. I recommend seeing Kuroshitsuji first since it has a sequel.
They're both dark. Monster is also similar. But I think Death Note is so unique, it can't really be compared to anything. They're so different. Light is justice.
Lelouch isn't. Both have a dark and mysterious atmosphere with a vengeance theme. Both main characters are immature brats, though Death Note is far more psychological than Kuroshitsuji.
There are BL undertones to Kuroshitsuji. Both anime have a gothic art feel to them, and have darker atmospheres than many other anime. They may not seem so similar at first, but: -The relationships are similar Sebastian is bound to Ciel by a contract, Ryuk is bound to Light in a similar way. Aside from the fact that they are both anime, these are very similar. Both have a dark feeling to it, but theses moments that you just want to laugh out loud. They also both have somebody trying to accomplish something.
The main characters, Ciel and Light both have that sense of determination and the feeling of hatred. They are different ages but that aside, act the same. The one thing is that Death Note has the dark feeling the whole thing, while Kuroshitsuji has a few carefree moments. They aren't exactly good, but they aren't evil either. While Sebastian does assist Ciel and follow his orders, he is only doing so because of their contract which is meant to benefit Sebastian ; this is similar to Ryuk's relationship with Light- he will help Light on occasion, but only if he benefits from it as well.
And of course both Sebastian and Ryuk are supernatural entities, Sebastian is a demon, while Ryuk is a shinigami. Ciel could be considered to be like a detective, since he is the "Queen's Watchdog", and the Queen has ordered him to investigate and solve many cases. L plays a similar role in Death Note; he is a world-renowned detective who has solved numerous cases, and is put in charge of the Kira case.
Ciel could be compared to L in a few ways- the Phantomhive family is shown to be powerful and influential, and Ciel becomes the head of the household after the death of his parents, and while L is also very powerful and influential, they are similar because L is more of a title than a person, and he has successors lying in wait to "become" L if the current L is to pass away.
Both Kuroshitsuji and Death Note involve shinigami. While the shinigami of Kuroshitsuji use tools known as Death Scythes to end lives and collect souls, the shinigami of Death Note use Death Notes, which are essentially just notebooks in which they use to write the names of who will die. Both Ryuk and Grell seem to be out of place amongst the other shinigami as well, since Ryuk seems more human in his personality and mannerisms than most, and Grell seems to do what she can to stand out.
Both Misa and Lizzy are caring girlfriends who do what they can to help, have interests in cute things, and are overall very cheerful, yet childish.
The main characters in both, Death Note and Kuroshitsuji, get something supernatural to their lives Light finds a death note and Ciel gets a "one hell of a butler" and they use those things to achieve their personal goals. Both series also feature death gods shinigami that play quite an important role as the plot thickens.
Death Note and Kuroshitsuji both have this dark atmosphere although that is relieved a little bit by the means of comedy in Kuroshitsuji which is caused by devious plotting and it just sucks the viewer in. I think that they are both brilliant shows, I haven't read the manga yet, but I'm hoping to by the next month or so. I believe that that are very similar and they sort of have the same aspects even though one is about an anonymous guy who kills villans and one's about a demon butler and ciel and how they solve crimes and do things together.
I'm not sure what it is but the two shows are similar in some way. Not too similar but both have a psychological feel and a sort of supernatural presence to them. While death note focuses mainly on the kind of light yagami and how he uses his power of the death note to meet his end goal of becoming the new worlds god, ciel more of uses the power of his ever obeying Butler to seek revenge for those who killed his parents, both are thoroughly enjoyable and more mature in nature with black Butler having a more comedic and light hearted tone at times.
I regard both animes highly. Yuukoku no Moriarty add permalink. Read recommendations by 11 more users. Set at the same time period in England. They have the same vibe, similar feels to the MC, both situated in 19century England. Victorian England - anime style! Exactly the same aesthetics, except Black Butler is fantasy and Moriarty's not!
The extravagant supporting ladies! William Moriarty is like an angelic version of Sebastian! Crimes and mysteries! They both take place in the UK, they are both about crime, and they are both in the same time period.
If you enjoyed watching the intelligent, high class, and handsome butler Sebastian solving dirty crime cases throughout the streets of Victorian era London with his young master Ciel, I believe you'll also enjoy watching Moriarty and his brother do the same, as they work to get vengeance on the malicious upper class that wronged them in the past, not much unlike the goal of Ciel.
This thrilling mystery-drama show is sure to captivate any crime lovers. Both have an s Great Britain setting and deal with smart noble young men. Both have that same mystery feel to it and are pretty dark in their own ways; Moriarty does bad things for a good cause while Ciel does anything for his own reasons.
They're both clever and have intriguing allies, and give you a sense that there's a lot more going on than the viewer is being told about. They're also both based in England and are both of high class and well known, though Moriarty plays a sort of Robin Hood as he attempts to give his own fix to the social divide in England.
They have the same suspense objective with a bit of triller here and there. And finally, they're both Crime anime. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro add permalink. Kuroshitsuji is about a demon butler, Sebastian, while Majin Tantei is about a demon detective, Neuro. Slightly different, but very similar characters.
The shows both contain a similar atmosphere as well. Read recommendations by 10 more users. These anime are incredibly similiar. Clever, skilled, cold, human in appearance but not in fact, smiling but then being creepy and evil any minute. They have similar main characters--Sebastian is a demon butler while Neuro is a demon detective. Both anime have a slightly creepy and mysterious mood, and the main characters are both extremely clever and skilled. There are Demons in both shows.
They're both funny too! They are also Detectives. Both series focus on a sexy demon protecting a human kid and the two of them solving mysteries. Where Kuroshitsuji is a very dark anime MTNN is more humorous in a sadistic way and maybe easier to watch for guys as well when Kuroshitsuji mainly focuses on female audience. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro and Kuroshitsuji, in my opinion, are very closely related. Every episode is filled with a mystery and hold you to the very end!
The differences are: Neuro's a detective, Sebastian's a butler. MTNN takes place mostly in Japan. Kuroshitsuji is in "back in the day" England. And Yako and Ciel are two totally different personalities, but even though they are the "main" focus of the story and are different from one another as it seems to me, Neuro and Sebastian are one in the same. Demons from Hell, looking for the best thing to eat, in Neuro's case it's the perfect mystery and for Sebastian it's the perfect soul, and they are very comical in a serious and, maybe cynical way.
If it's mysteries, demons, and all around loveable characters you're looking for, both of these animes are for you! Both main characters are focused as demons-one that eats souls, and one that eats mysteries. This says a lot on how they differ, but there is a similarity between the Black Butler Sebastian Michaelis and the "Detective's Assistant" Neuro Nougami.
Perhaps it's their personalities. Of course they alter, but it's amusing how alike they are. Shortly after her father's death, Yako runs into the demon Neuro, who plays the role as an assistant flawlessly, but little do those around him know that he is really just feeding off the real assistant, Yako's, name "detective. And feeds off of them. While Sebastian, a gallant butler in black, serves as his master's servant.
After Ciel lost everything he had, he sealed a contract with this demon, and until the end of his goals, Sebastian will serve him. With the hope of having a long-awaited meal.
And so the two face many predicaments. First of all, Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro isn't really popular, which I think is weird because it's a really nice anime! And I think both have a pretty mature story, it isn't childish. Both series has a strange male protagonist Demons who is clever, independent, cold, and possesses supernatural powers. Seemingly, a pact exists between that main male protagonist and his partner. Both series' style of story telling seems to have a dark comedy taste to it with strange sequences and various twists.
There are plot twists that are presented in a strange way. Additionally, both series contains action, drama, and some violence. Both series' supporting characters also play roles in the series in various mysteries. Both of these shows focus on demons in the human world. Also, both have quite a lot of comedy in them which makes them quite similar. Hellsing Ultimate add permalink. Both are in a Victorian-era setting with heavy paranormal activity. Read recommendations by 9 more users. Rich, British family makes deal with demon thing to protect their means and serve them.
First off, both shows take place mainly in England and the main characters are British. Second, both main protagonists possess badass butlers I'm actually talking about Walter here, not Alucard and have total control over a demonic monster that carries out their master's will This is Alucard , regardless of morals or relationships.
Additionally, the ending of Hellsing Ultimate was similar to the ending of Black Butler season 2, but I won't say why for the sake of not spoiling either show. But, in the end, both series, despite the similarities, are full to the brim of their own great points and I highly recommend both, especially if you've already seen one. Existence of the mystical or supernatural powers. Both main characters pasts are uncovered during run of the series. Sebastian and Alucard fulfill similar roles to their masters.
Both series present different view on relationship between demon and human. English Master- Supernatural servant pair as they protect England and their own interests from other supernatural or non-supernatural opponents seeking to bring both down.
Both shows also feature their own side casts of interesting and peculiar characters with similar backgrounds. Both shows are about demons who serve their masters' wishes. Both also contain fair to gruesome amounts of blood, and involve climatic battles taking place in the heart of London. Also the stories are quiet similar , eliminating vampires and revenge.
Both are focused on overpowered supernatural beings, although Hellsing is more mature and gory in nature. Makai Ouji: Devils and Realist add permalink. Both have the same elements: butlers , "bochan", bishonens, elegance, demons, contracts, fanservice with shonen ai background tones, even the fonts of the titles are almost alike, the same setting and feeling, with dark aura but with comedy very funny, the story in both are almost alike because of the contents.
But I found Kuroshitsuji a little darker. To be honest, when I was watching Makai Ouji, the moment the word "butler" popped out, Kuroshitsuji was my first thought. Both animes have elements of the supernatural, as well as fighting scenes.
The art is pretty decent for both animes too. The main characters seem to be rather similar to me too. They both have a kind of "confident" personality, and both happen to come from a well-off family, or at least used to, in Makai Ouji's case. All in all, I feel that both of them have pretty good plots, so give them a go! Supernatural settings with demons making contracts with humans with aristocratic backgrounds.
Serious plots with somewhat comedic touch. Extremely similar anime, both have almost exact same story, plot and similar characters. You will love this is you love Black Butler. Involving butlers, socialites-aristocrats and demons.
Obviously, there are demons involved in the story, and they have a great influence in the development of the events. You also get a similar feeling when you are watching these two animes. Both center around humans associating with demons. And the similarities between the two main protagonists are just potent: both are of aristocratic descents, and although one is a huge cynic while the other isn't Ciel did sign a contract with a demon, didn't he?
Also, both the shows are just wonderfully drawn, and has a lot of comedy and bickering here and there. A definite recommendation. DnD is the Walmart version of Kuroshitsuji but it's still a pretty great waste of time. Also: Dantalion. Inu x Boku SS add permalink. They are very similar -- a story of a demon serving a child from a rich family.
Perhaps a bit darker with less humor, but the core is the same. Read recommendations by 8 more users. They both look like a shoujo anime but its really a shounen anime.. The whole master-servant thing is the same, and they both deal with supernatural creatures, but kuroshitsuji is darker than inu x boku.
Both have Master-Servant relationships. The "masters" are young teens, and the "servants" are adult males. The servants are super strong and good at everything. There is also a bit of comedy mixed in with the seriousness of both shows.
Both have a similar servant-to-master relationship within them, and although Kuroshitsuji doesn't include the same romance between the servant and master as Inu x Boku SS does, there are times when love and sexual tension are shown between the master and servant. Kuroshitsuji also incorporates the supernatural into its story as well, and in the same way the servant is a supernatural being like in Inu x Boku SS.
Kuroshitsuji and InuBoku are both masterpieces. Soushi InuBoku and Sebastian Kuroshitsuji are both servant-like figures, one a bodyguard and one a butler, who have power and reflexes that seem, and are, quite inhuman.
Ririchiyo InuBoku and Ciel Kuroshitsuji are both the master of their servant, however Ciel is purely human while Ririchiyo is a youkai, only not as strong as Soushi.
Both deal with the supernatural and contracts, but InuBoku is more lighthearted and humorous while Kuroshitsuji is darker and has less of a sense of humor but there's definitely quite a few jokes in it!
Ciel and Ririchiyo are also both known for their famous family name. These show have both have supernatural feels to them that makes them iinteresting to watch. Black Butler is about demon butlers and Ino x Boku Secret Service is about weird spirit thingies that I never figured out.
You'll probably figure it out on episode one if you do, explain it to me and if you don't - yay stupid pasta buddies. Both "master" characters have a cold demeanor, however I found Kuroshitsuji to contain more graphic scenes.
Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch add permalink. Both the protagonists of Kuroshitsuji and Code Geass are very similar - from the fact they both follow the way of self-destruction and vengeance to the order issuing abilities and proficiency in chess. In general, Ciel looks like a chibi version of Lelouch, not smart and skilled enough to pwn anyone he wants through strategy, relying on his butler Sebastian instead.
They're both machiavellian types who would do anything to achieve their goals. Although the settings are quite different, I liked Ciel for the same reasons I liked Lelouch, and enjoyed both shows mainly because of these two characters. I know what You think. That I'm out of my mind but believe me!
These 2 animes have 1 important thing that makes them similar. It's main hero's character. They are cunning, smart and they have blood on their hands becouse for their goal they ready to sacrifice everything and everyone. Traumatic past is also included. If You like this kind of characters or at least You like to watch animes with these kind of heroes, the 2 animes are for You! Both main character Lelouch and Ciel have lost something valuble to them. Each strikes a contract with a mysterious person in order to gain the power for their revenge for Ciel its Sebastian and for Lelouch, C.
Both of the main character's play a mean game of chest, seeing everyone they work with or are close to as nothing but their pawns in this game. Both Sebastain and C. C fallow their contractee's around in order to make sure they stay safe and that they will in return gain their end of the contract. Each character facing a sense of battle's and betrayals along the way in order to react both their goals. Both series contain side trips of humor, action, strategy and a dark tone to it for Code Geass its more of a dark-ish not completely dark.
Both are about a royal main character, same chess, although Code Geass has abit more "chess" to it. They are both are making a contract. In both of these series, the protagonist is a person of high status who is proficient in chess and mind games. Both Lelouch and Ciel are driven by their hatred and make a contract with a supernatural being to fulfill their goals. Their contractors are also similar in some ways.
If Sebastian was female, I suppose he would be a lot like C. Sebastian and C. Lizzie and Shirley are also a bit similar.
These series are also both set in British settings although the Britain in Code Geass is futuristic whereas Kuroshitsuji is set in the Victorian Era and deal with politics in some way or form Code Geass much more so. They can also both have very dark moments as well as very comedic ones, and fair amounts of fanservice for both the ladies and the men. The characters in both Code Geass and Black Butler are very ambiguous in terms of morality. The villians aren't totally evil, and the good guys Lelouch and Ciel in particular aren't totally good.
Both main characters also have some kind of "secret weapon" that they use to get their way. In Code Geass, it is Lelouch's ability Geass. In Black Butler, it is Ciel's butler Sebastian. The main characters both out on revenge meet a supernatural being willing to forge a contract with them that gives these boys the ability and power to extract their revenge on those they have come to so despise fiercely.
Their secret hidden inside one of their eyes both Ciel and Lelouch give a dramatic twist to their stories unlike any anime I have seen so far. Both anime have a main character who gain the aid of a supernatural being C. C and Sebastian in order to obtain their goals. They also lost someone close to them Lelouch, his mother. Ciel, his family , and are determined to have their revenge. Lelouch makes a contract with and witch, and Ciel makes one with a demon.
Both titular characters have a mysterious eye power Although they both have different abilities, Lelouch uses his Geass have absolute obedience while Ciel can call Sebastian, no matter where he is. Loveless add permalink. Though the plots and story line are completely different, the main characters seem to have similarities.
AmyRosefan4eva posted over a year ago. KiryuX said: I never really liked him in the beginning. I thought he was an asshole. But, he did make me laugh a few times, so I give him props for that. But, when I first saw him in the anime, I thought it was chic It was kind of awesome. He was actually kind of smart too if you think about it. Honestly, if all that stuff that happen to him, didn't happen, I think he would be really nice.
Mentalist said: He is my favorite character. Ya, u ce, I don't feel any pity or attraction towards him. As time went on I soon started to like him, from his personality and That and I felt sorry for him, having something that happened to him would change a person.

Liberal Shopper 5, Points Love the manga, can't wait for the next update. I've never seen the anime but, from what I know about it, the anime shows a different story than the manga so I'm considering watching the anime too.
If there's one unanimous consensus among Black Butler fans, it's just how terrible the second season was. From its non-canon episodes to its non-canon characters, everything was cooked up by the studio, and fans have been less than shy in pointing out that they did a pretty horrible job of it. Proof of this lies in the fact that not a single character from the second season especially its antagonists Alois and Claude was liked by fans. The dynamic between these two is what makes the manga what it is - a smashing success.
And it was heartening to see the same chemistry being translated onto the screen. Even in the filler episodes, one could see the classic struggle of power between the two, where neither was willing to bow down before the other. The relationship between Ciel and Sebastian has a good dynamic — similar to Integra and Alucard of Hellsing , though Sebastian will offer to resolve conflict with a spot of tea and cake first.
Ciel's contract with Sebastian has always been shrouded in mystery, and the anime actually did a good job of portraying it, seeing how the manga hadn't shown any of the flashbacks until that time. However, it was sad to see even the anime failing to include some of the most important aspects of the contract and sacrifices that ensue, instead resorting to ambiguous imagery that leaves a lot to be desired. Surprisingly, the OVAs turned out to be extremely popular among fans, including the non-canon ones.
