Can i jog with a city mini

Ripped seat, the canopy is shot And I am trying to get back into shape. Not hard core marathon running, but getting in shape for a 5k early this summer. Any advice?

I do not want to spend an arm and a leg. My girls will shortly be 5 and 3, so this would be the last stroller for us if I get a new one. And, for what it's worth, I can probably get a Baby Jogger at a good price.

My coaching mentor owns a running store, and I also have a friend who manages a high end athletic store which carries Baby Jogger and I think BOBs. Joined May 21, Not sure but I don't think so - I have a city elite which has bigger tires than the mini, the manual for that says it is not suitable for jogging faster than 3 miles an hour.

Yes I am not training for a marathon My daughter is a bigger 2 year old and is more comfortable in this than any stroller. Maybe because she is used to being in the stroller when we run? I love my BOB- bought it used off Craigslist.

It looks brand spanking new too. I had to scour Craigslist for months to find one, so just get in the habit of checking there daily. I never heard of that! I have the city select and LOVE it. I don't jog though. But the city select is an all terrain stroller. Hold up. Like a serious one? You can run with any pram, but bigger wheels make it much smoother, and better for comfort with one handle.

This is good to know. What sort of terrain do you run on? I'm not really looking to do any very serious running but just to have the option of a km jog. What sort of distances do you do?

Well done on running with the double! I'm impressed! Does the bar across the back get in the way of your feet while running or anything? Thanks again! Ive run with it a lot and found it fine to use. I think it is to do with the wheel size and whether it has a hand strap as to whether is passes the legal rules. The only thing is to be careful up and down pavements as it can swerve off a little.

Don't use until the baby can hold head though. If you lock the front wheel, does this help the swerving? Have you ever used it off pavement? What sort of distances do you run? Do the smaller wheels make it quite bumpy? How old was your little one when you started running with it? Just real, honest, side-by-side testing by people who care.

City Mini GT vs. One of the most popular features of the Baby Jogger strollers is the quick pull fold, as seen here on the seat of the City Mini GT. The City Mini GT has an auto-lock that works well and keeps the stroller closed for easier transport and storing.

The GT is one of the few non-jogging options with a handbrake. This handbrake works well and has a feature that prevents accidental brake releasing. The storage on the Baby Jogger City Mini GT is large, but the lower seat and a cross bar make it difficult to access and limit what can be put inside. The canopy on the City Mini GT has two peek-a-boo windows that make spying on baby easy. We wish they had magnetic closure instead of hook and loop, but it is still a better canopy than much of the competition.

The harness on the City Mini GT is not the easiest one to use with a weird knob on the back of the buckle that prevents releasing the buckle if pressed. The GT is compatible with several different brand infant car seats, including the Chicco as seen here with the Keyfit The City Mini GT is marketed as an "all-terrain" stroller, and while it is better off-road than the other Baby Jogger options we tested, we still wouldn't consider it a great choice for long-term off-road strolling.

The City Mini GT has an adjustable handlebar that rotates on a pivot point. This feature is useful for parents of different heights, but it puts taller users closer to the rear axle making it more likely they will kick the back of the stroller while moving. The City Mini GT is neither large nor heavy, but there are smaller and lighter strollers in this review. The Baby Jogger GT is a little nicer than the average product in this review for quality.

The plastic components and bunched fabric impacted the quality score for the City Mini GT. Learn More.
